The SJ Weiler Fund is a private foundation founded in 2011 with the aim to foster exemplary artistic achievement and creativity in the visual arts as well as significant contributions to the arts community. Initially the SJ Weiler Fund established an awards program, granting unrestricted annual awards to mid-career artists. The award was by nomination only and made in recognition of artists with an ambitious vision and a demonstrated commitment to their practice.

In 2019, the SJ Weiler Fund initiated TEN AT SEVENa biannual curatorial project hosted by collector Susan Weiler in her West Village home. Presenting contemporary and historic artworks that address history, politics, and social issues by artists from culturally diverse backgrounds, the project comprises an exhibition, a publication and gatherings. Throughout the course of the exhibition, artists, colleagues, and friends will gather at 7pm, for dinner, performances and dialogue inspired by the artists’ works.

The SJ Weiler Fund continues to further support the production of new work, publications and museum exhibitions for mid-career and emerging artists.
